I wish I knew. I feel your frustration. I picked up this book because I loved it when it was first coming out. I have no clue what is going on now. I can't buy any more, I will wait for the collection.
Even as she is transferring her powers to Prince Nekron, the grief-maddened sorceress Juliana casts one final spell to resurrect her firstborn son, Kaledan - who is about to discover that getting brought back to life isn't as enjoyable as one might think. Meanwhile, having fought off the subhuman raiders, the Queen of Firekeep adds the warrior boy Larn to her expedition - now they just have to make it across a jungle overrun with enemy warriors and their tame monsters!

Incredible book that's very well written and the art is out of this world. Each panel is wall-hanging worthy. As a fan of the old movie I enjoy the setting and expanded story of the world. For people who aren't familiar with the old movie it's probably standard sword and sorcery fare, except with god-tier art. I wish it came out more regularly though, I've already forgotten issues 1-3 by this point. I assume this level of art takes a long time to make, but one would also assume that the art should already be done for a limited series like this before publication. I dunno
Can someone tell me why this book comes out annually? I don't think anyone is even collecting it anymore because it comes out so irregularly. With that being said, it's a really good book by Willingham with some amazing artwork. If it gets canceled, however, I wouldn't be surprised. The witch revived her dead son, who outs her other son as a murderer.
