Ellis weaves an interesting comic showcasing Batman and Alfred's strategies to find their target. The panel of the comic was a page of four panels with Batman slowly walking down the street in broad daylight. This comic clearly picked the kind of story it wanted to be and performed well. Throughout the maxi-series, Ellis and Hitch have been able to capture the life of the Dark Knight well, along with his relationship with his faithful butler, and this issue doesn't change that, hitting the same heights as previous issues. Read Full Review

Is it the fault of the book, or the fault of our culture which tends to think big tanks are cool and a hero using force on a bad guy we assume to be bad as just? The fact that I'm pondering these things may actually be a sign the imagery is a good thing to mull over in our entertainment while the world continues to protest and find justice. Bryan Hitch delivers some great art. One of the best parts of the art in this issue is that most of the scenes are character based and the details in the interactions between Bruce and Alfred are beautiful. I also really enjoyed the Batmobile designs as well. Read Full Review

Just an ok issue. For me, this book has been more entertaining than the main Batman book, so it's been a great pull for me. The only problem is that I think Bryan Hitch is well past his prime, so the art is a little rough and rushed in my opinion. It's still pretty good, but it did distract me at points. Surprisingly though, this issue has very little action and feels very short. The highlights were just the interactions and dialogue between Batman, Alfred, and the other supporting characters. I'll continue to pull just to finish the series, but hopefully the next issue can get back on track.

Not a bad issue. There's a lot of talking and detecting, rather than a ton of action like previous issues. I'm ambivalent but what can you do?
