The Phoenix stuff is key & the character moments of the x-men on holiday are nice but it descends into moustache-twirling fisticuffs at the end. Oh & the latest vehicle the x-men are in gets trashed (a real tradition)

Best part of this one is the Storm background, coulda done with more of that & less fisticuffs. A few other character moments & a coupla revelations mark this out as an above average issue

Another vehicle the x-men are travelling in gets trashed - wouldn't want to be their insurance company :-). Magneto spends an awful lot of time blustering about how powerful he is (mind you do do a fair fee if the x-men).

Pretty much one long fight from beginning to end gets a little tiresome after a while. The continued sniping from Wolverine does make you wonder why he sticks around. Nice to see the old C-Men turn up in their baggy costumes (why didn't they fit?)

Yawn. Another long battle & the fate of the universe or indeed everything is at stake again. Nice that they paused things for a few minutes while Lilandra could provide her back story. The introduction of the Starjammers is intriguing

Not bad at all. Plenty of character moments, a few laughs, a few shocks & a fight that doesn't take up the whole issue or feel forced. Good stuff

We're on a run here, another good issue. Some laughs & some good moments. Wolverine/Cyclops is getting a bit stale but the rest of the characters are really starting to get fleshed out

Claremont is really starting to hit his stride here, the plotting isn't rushed, the fights happen organically & there are laughs & revelations aplenty. Byrne meanwhile seems to have honed things to a fine art. Great issue
