I like very much the idea of fresh new characters based on latinamerican folklore and specially on Dan's costarican culture. Cadejos feels very human with his feelings toward his daughter and, at the same time, all this mystical and magical energy toward the Dark Dog spirit and their relationship that only makes me want to know more about them. Also Golden Frog and Boruka deserve also to be developed and explored, they show something fresh and can give us a rest from other characters.
The idea of the issue sets an interesting and dark ground about The Dark Realm, something to explore hopefully on new chapters. Mora's abilities to expand the dark theme is amazing, since Once and Future he has showed awesome monsters and folklore drawing.
About Mora's writing debut it feels good, and clear, it shows his learning of working with great writers like Mr Waid and Mr Morrison, the way he develops the story may feel simple for some people but it's that simplicity that makes the big amount of info be easy to get.
DC should feel safe about trusting Mora into developing more his characters and even expanding the Dark Realm to boundaries that DC hasn't explore yet.
