An iconic cover, an intriguing opening, and excellent panel design. I also like the story behind how the name "Invincible" was chosen. However, his family treats Mark acquiring his powers as a bit too normal. That said, I do like Cory Walker's art from this period.

The beginning is a bit dull, but it’s a stable episode that maintains its pace. It’s great that it ends on a cliffhanger.

The relationship between Eve and Mark feels like something out of an anime romance. Also, some panels look as if someone other than Cory Walker drew them; the panels that didn't match his style were jarring to look at while reading. I enjoy seeing Omni-Man in action. At the same time, the power gap between Mark and his father—and Mark’s struggle to catch up—serves as a fantastic metaphor. The way things are normalized in this chapter feels natural.
