Really hyped for that new Ben 10 series I run to read this 1st issue. At first sight, everything was kind of "ugly" and dark tone. When you dive into the story, the tone seems to be just a little darker than the original, but the truth is that this Carey art is really ugly, I confirm my suspicions. This is my humble opinion. I can confirm the esence is Ben 10 OG first episode, but with little changes. I do not like the "Bear" (why robotic? why a bear and not just a robot), I do not like Human Designs (very, I mean VERY ugly), but I do like the 2 aliens shown: Heatblast and FourArms. In the other hand, why so fast transforming 2 aliens in a few minutes? There are nearly inmediate available transformation one after another. The pace is very fast, you can read in 3 minutes, and if you don't know nothing about Ben 10 you can feel completely lost about the story. Final thoughts: the bad, Carey's art is irregular (some pages good, some pages ordinary, ugly), and the changes, by now still unjustified ; the Good, BEN 10 AGAIN!
