Joker: Killer Smile
Everyone knows The Joker doesn't have the most promising history with psychotherapists. In fact, no one's even been able to diagnose him. But that doesn't matter to the confident, world-beating Dr. Ben Arnell; he's going to be the one to unravel this unknowable mind. There's no way The Joker could ever get through the therapeutic walls Ben has buil...
Solid, interesting, pretty. Not as gripping as it could've been until the very end. But it's going to be four issues, each the length of this one (which was 45 pages of actual comic book, x4 for a total of a ~180-page story in the end) and the final page definitely got me primed for what's next.

John Constantine: Hellblazer #2
John's return to London isn't going as smoothly as he'd hoped...though it's already been just as bloody as he could have expected! Enormous angels straight from the mind of William Blake are tearing people to ribbons in Peckham Rye Common, and the gang lord who's pressed John into service is getting increasingly impatient about John's inability to ...
I've never really been interested in Suicide Squad before, but the description of this run intrigued me, and I'm glad I picked it up. The creators managed to make me care about characters I'd seen in approximately three panels so that I would be sad when they died. Well done, jerks.
8.5/10, eagerly awaiting more suffering.
Suicide Squad #1
Task Force X-nicknamed the Suicide Squad-unites some of the DCU's unlikeliest villains for its bloodiest series yet! The Squad's new mission is to neutralize a new group of international super-terrorists known as the Revolutionaries-and not everyone on either side will make it out back alive! But when the U.S. government's most deniable team of do-...

Interesting hybrid of superhero and crime fiction. I'm looking forward to the next issue.

Hellblazer is back! Si Spurrier feels like he could've fit right in among the better writers of the original comic, and despite the slightly wordier name, if you pick this up you'll essentially be reading "Hellblazer volume 2." Which is exactly what I was hoping for.
John Constantine: Hellblazer #1
