This is where i become a big GL and Hal Jordan fan... a solid story with equally solid characterization and art. Fear v Will.
Hal Jordan And The Green Lantern Corps Vol. 1: Sinestros Law
Hal Jordan is about to go from head of the Green Lantern Corps to an army of one. The Green Lantern Corps has disappeared, and now Sinestro's own Corps of Yellow Lanterns enforces his unique brand of law and order in the universe. Aquaman Vol. 2: Black Manta Rising
Aquaman's investigation into the mysterious Atlantean terrorist attacks on the surface is cut short when Black Manta taps his newfound weapons cache and unleashes an unstoppable weapon upon the undersea kingdom: a relentless behemoth from the deep that lays waste to everything in its path. Collects AQUAMAN #7-15.
It was a fun run for me with a good enough story and characterisation, plus good art across the board, i'm excited for how all these pays off in coming runs.
Flash Vol. 2: Speed Of Darkness
A storm is brewing over Central City. Just as Barry begins to feel overwhelmed fighting crime, a new speedster appears-but just where did this amazing new friend come from? Spinning out of the events of DC UNIVERSE: REBIRTH #1, the Fastest Man Alive finds himself at a crossroads. Collects issues #9-13.
I don't know what Hitch was trying to do here. Most of the ideas were either half-baked or rushed, and there's few interesting moments. The art is good enough but you can skip this, it's middling.
Justice League Vol. 2: Outbreak
After the team's Green Lanterns use their mastery over fear to help the rest of the Justice League, they must face an even greater threat: An unknown villain who's hacking into the Justice League's computers, causing the Batcave's weapons and security systems to turn against the Dark Knight and the Watchtower satellite to plummet to Earth - with Cy...
The characterization of both Arthur and Mera are done pretty well, a solid straightforward plot that shows how reasonable a king Aquaman is... There's pretty well action and art, also The Big Blue pops in a cameo.
Aquaman Vol. 1: The Drowning
Aquaman, the King of Atlantis, has never found a true home in either of the worlds that he was born of. In these tales from AQUAMAN: REBIRTH #1 and issues #1-6 of the new series, the King of Atlantis attempts to broker a peace between Atlantis and the surface, but this noble quest might force Aquaman to choose whether to live his life above the wav...
More than a solid run Greg Rucka spins a memorable Year One for WonderMommy with thoughtful storytelling, and good characterisation. The art is stunning thanks to Nicola Scott and Bilquis Evely cameo. Probably one of my favourite Rebirth era run.
Wonder Woman Vol. 2: Year One
The team of writer Greg Rucka and artist Nicola Scott weave the definitive and shocking tale of Diana's first year as Earth's protector. Paradise has been breached, Ares stirs and the Amazons must answer with a champion of their own...one who is willing to sacrifice her home among her sisters to save a world she has never seen. Wonder Woman's journ...
From devastating to heartfelt, This WW journey by Rucka is a solid read and sets up beautifully the themes WonderMommy carries through.
Wonder Woman Vol. 1: The Lies

However, in the midst of her grief, her Lasso of Truth stopped working! Start down the rabbit hole as dark secrets from Wonder Woman's past unravel her present! This ...
Well this was a middling experience, and that i don't expect from a Justice League comic. It was going well, but then the writing became very sloppy and lazy, it doesn't tell much or it may do in future but it still doesn't hold your attention for that. The story just happens and the stakes is seemingly big but doesn't feel big. The art is beautiful enough but it can't save it.
Justice League Vol. 1: The Extinction Machine
In these stories from JUSTICE LEAGUE: REBIRTH #1 and issues #1-5 of the new series, a new day dawns for the Justice League as they welcome a slew of new members into their ranks. The question remains though, can the world's greatest superheroes trust these new recruits? And will the members of the League be able to come together against an ancient ...
This is not that bad as some people here rated it to be. 5.9 rating is atrocious, although art is highly subjective. This Rage Planet run has been highly entertaining for me, with beautiful art with crisp designs and a simple story that is bolstered by a solid character work for the two lanterns. Their chemistry is good too.
Green Lanterns Vol. 1: Rage Planet
In these stories from GREEN LANTERNS: REBIRTH #1 and GREEN LANTERN #1-6, new Green Lanterns Jessica Cruz and Simon Baz begin a new era of emerald excitement, tackling the universe's toughest beat: Earth. These rookie Lanterns promised to protect others in brightest day or blackest night, but as the "Red Planet" begins to rise, the duo finds themsel...
Probably one of the best Tomasi-Gleason Super run where Superman and Lois delves deeper into raising Jon with their hopes and fears written thoughtfully and with fun stamped all over it. Whether it be losing their way in Dinosaur Island, or the Main Event tussle with Batman and Robin, or the short but still reflective Super Monster, each of them is written pretty well and drawn beautifully.
Superman Vol. 2: Trials Of The Super Son
In these tales from SUPERMAN #7-13, Superman and Jon Kent are transported to Dinosaur Island to find the last of the Losers! Then, after a quick trip to the county fair, Jon meets his match in Damian Wayne-and the Super Sons' fathers soon put the two young heroes through their paces as a new crime-fighting team is forged!
The potential of Jimenez volume is not efficiently reached as many of its interesting pieces are lost in the overwrought and rushed panels which is albeit very beautiful thanks to the art. The characterisation of Lana and Lena works very well in tandem with each other, but it's the other building blocks that is very weak around them. Overall, it's a mildly fun read yet flawed.
Superwoman Vol. 1: Who Killed Superwoman
Imbued with the powers of Superman, Lois Lane and Lana Lang pledge to use their powers to protect Metropolis as Superwomen! The only problem is their new powers are killing them, and neither one knows how to stop it. Can they survive long enough to uncover the deadly secret of their new foe, Ultra-Woman? Collects SUPERWOMAN #1-7.
Probably my favorite genre is when Superman hypes up his wife, and Lois being showcased as a strong character of her own. This short bridge to set up the new universe our familiar super family is in, is a breezy yet intriguing story. And works as it is. The art is also superbly done.
Action Comics Vol. 2: Welcome To The Planet
Look! Down there on the ground! It's... Clark Kent?! As Metropolis recovers from the devastating attack of Doomsday, the mysterious figure claiming to be Clark Kent takes the spotlight to clear his name and prove once and for all that Clark Kent is not Superman! Collects JUSTICE LEAGUE #52 and ACTION COMICS #963-966.
While the overarching plot is treated in a low stakes way, the characterization and the struggles of Kara is hold up in a considerable way to make this a breezy and solid read with consistent and beautiful art and kinetic action panels.
Supergirl Vol. 1: Reign Ot Cyborg Supermen
Supergirl moves to National City! As Kara Danvers, high school student, Supergirl must balance her life as a superhero with her new life on Earth. But some demons from her Kryptonian past are coming back to haunt her, and Kara will find herself face to face with her father, the sinister Cyborg Superman! Collects SUPERGIRL: REBIRTH #1 and SUPERGIRL ...
This trio slaps, and Manapul knows how to write them. The art is crisp and beautiful across the board and even with little flaws here and there, this is a solid read of the DC Trio.
Trinity Vol. 1: Better Together
The Dark Knight. The Man of Steel. The Amazon Warrior. The three greatest heroes in the DC Universe unite when the threats to our planet are bigger than any one of them can handle. But now, the deadly White Mercy has Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman in its terrifying grasp! But who would dare to orchestrate this attack-and why? All will be reveale...
This AC volume was a ton of fun as Superman is put under a dilemma of dealing with old foes and odd ones as he strives to protect Metropolis and his family. The re-emergence of Doomsday was a welcome turn as we get to see how matured Supes did after his last encounter, Wonder Woman pops in a surprise cameo and Luthor's motives are questioned. Although the incessant odd Clark Kent identity really t more
Action Comics Vol. 1: Path Of Doom

The two archenemies must put aside their differences to face the common threat of Doomsday, as Jimmy Olsen and the staff of the Daily Planet try to uncover the truth: Who is...
A really amazing continuation to all the happenings in Batman's life as his past oversights comes to haunt him and his team, as a moral dilemma is put into the equation. Tynion IV knows how to handle the caped crusader and his teams and understands their lore and characterisation as the story moves in a smooth pace and build-up. Even the two part Batwoman special works well to set her up. Overall, more
Detective Comics Vol. 2: Victim Syndicate
In these tales from DETECTIVE COMICS #943-949, innocent victims maimed or broken by Batman's greatest enemies band together, and they blame Batman and his fellow crime-fighters for what happened to them just as much as they blame the psychopaths who hurt them. Batman and his newly trained allies must take on these troubled souls, but one of Batman'...
Tom King's I Am Suicide run might be a little clunky and off-putting dialogues but it's not without its charm where Batman and his gang of misfits pulls off a heist only he can dare and plan for. The story works well and the art is no doubt stunning with the last two Rooftop chapters actually making me ship Bat and Cat--oh wait i already ship them.
Batman Vol. 2: I Am Suicide
Batman has always been crazy... but this? This is suicide! In order to retrieve Psycho-Pirate and save Gotham Girl, Batman must recruit a team from Amanda Waller to break into the most impenetrable prison in the world and steal from one of the Dark Knight's greatest foes... Bane. The next great Batman story begins here! Collects BATMAN #9-15.
There's so much to like about this volume. From Clark and Lois trying to figure out how to raise Jon on his advent of his powers to Eradicator as an apt villain on this arc to Lois as Hell-Bat... Tomasi knocked this one out of the park
Superman Vol. 1: Son Of Superman
After the stunning events of DC REBIRTH, the world is left without Superman! Luckily, there is another Man of Steel to fill his shoes: the pre-Flashpoint Kal-El! However, can this new Superman protect the world while raising a super-son with his wife, Lois Lane? And should they help their boy use his new and rapidly increasing abilities, or hide th...
Good gosh Snyder just knows what's up when it comes to Batman, as the Caped Crusader goes against troves of villains to cure Harvey Dent Two-Face. The art by John Romita is brilliant and the story is fun and thrilling.
All-Star Batman Vol. 1: My Own Worst Enemy
