Watchmen Collected
| Writer | Alan Moore |
| Artist | Dave Gibbons |
This Hugo Award-winning graphic novel chronicles the fall from grace of a group of super-heroes plagued by all-too-human failings. Along the way, the concept of the super-hero is dissected as the heroes are stalked by an unknown assassin. One of the most influential graphic novels of all time and a perennial bestseller, WATCHMEN has been studied on college campuses across the nation and is considered a gateway title, leading readers to other graphic novels such as V FOR VENDETTA, BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS and THE SANDMAN series.

By far one of the greatest comics you will ever read. The whole story is perfectly written by Alan Moore and is made beautiful by Dave Gibbons timeless style which perfectly brings the story to life. The characters are compelling throughout and the story is well paced with interesting plot points.

The greatest graphic novel of all times. It changed the industry forever, and has more uniqueness and great ideas than most comics today will ever come close to.

The best hero deconstruction story you can find. The amount of quality regarding characters, plot and sheer art is mesmerising. I love it and read it annually. Masterpiece indeed.

Highly enjoyable read. The visuals are top notch. Every page oozes with detail. Overall the characters are alive and leap off the page. As a deconstruction of the genre I don’t nessasarily see it. It relies on tropes and grounds them but in the end it’s a superhero book with a twisted ending of pessimism with a sprinkling of hope. To me some of the Nixon nuclear war stuff hasn’t aged well and miles vary dependent on your experience living in the 80’s.
