I like Shadowman and I love where the story is heading. Jordan is writing a terrific magic and mystical story with great creatures, monsters, ghosts with deep character. If you are looking for a non-traditional superhero with edge then Shadowman is a book you should be reading. Read Full Review

Again, the issue is split between three different artists. Robert De La Torre, Neil Edwards and Lewis LaRosa all do great work, but De La Torre is the one who truly brings a unique spirit to this book. His pages stand high above the others, which only serves to give the whole thing an uneven feeling. That said, those pages are worth the price of admission alone, giving a creeping horror and eeriness to the comic. If only he could do the whole book. Read Full Review

I said last time that when Shadowman began it was just good; meaning that while the art was fantastic to look at the story just never made it over that cusp of greatness. I think it's there now, it's a great series, but I doubt everyone will be able to see that until this arc is done. If you missed the beginning of this story arc then I would definitely say that it's worth going back and picking up either in back issues or digitally. Read Full Review

Shadowman has been a well written book for the entirety of its run. This book would benefit from some consistency in the art department, but that is not needed to make it a good read each month. This issue of the title is adept from a writing standpoint thanks to Justin Jordan. The series still has not gotten the kind of art attention that it deserves among the Valiant titles. Securing an artist for this comic would make the series grow strong over the next coming months. Read Full Review
