Horror DNA - James Ferguson
Sep 06, 2017Made Men puts a refreshing take on the Frankenstein story, greatly expanding it and bringing it to the modern day. Most of the stories that return to Frankenstein focus on the monster and where it went next. This puts a nice new spin on it that is rife with possibilities. Jutte is reluctant to face her family history, but is forced to do so when she and her team are put in the crosshairs. Now she has a rag-tag group of monsters working to bring down the folks that put them in this position in the first place. All the torches and pitchforks in the world aren't going to stop them. And whether its the gripping opening, the thoroughly intriguing protagonist, the surprising twist or the eyebrow-raising final page, this new series ticks all the boxes, and reanimates the fairly lifeless crime revenge genre with a satisfying jolt. Word Of The Nerd - Brent Jackson
Sep 08, 2017This was just a great surprise on just how cool this book was and I really wish everyone could have the experience I had reading the first issue of Made Men. Not knowing anything at all about this series really made it a terrific read for me, I thought I had the story figured out and then it would throw a little twist in that would catch me off guard. I also love that final page it is the perfect set up and teaser for the rest of the series. Made Menis superbly done and will have you clamoring for more once you hit the final page. Read Full Review

Sep 11, 2017At first read, it seems a little out-of-character for this I'll-do-better-next-time type to show up on the mob's doorstep, but that's survival, innit? When you're pushed often enough, you find new ways to push back. Or perhaps she's still got a few more lessons to learn. Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal
Sep 06, 2017Four-sixths of this issue is incredible. Those last two-sixths dip pretty hard though. They feel out of place with the rest of it, but also seem to be the norm for what's to come. I'll be back for the next issue because what's here in this first issue was good. It's not perfect, but it's a solid first issue for sure. Monkeys Fighting Robots - Anthony Wendel
Sep 06, 2017Made Men #1 is the start of something big. The series offers a lot of possibilities moving forward thanks to the interesting concept and engrossing artwork. The issue also seems to offer a twist at the end which was subtle hinted at throughout the book. Again though, if you couldnt tell from the reference to Robocop, this book is not for the faint of heart. Read Full Review
