Comics Bulletin - Michael Deeley
Jul 19, 2010So Cyclops wants the X-Men to stand for a better tomorrow, while Wolverine and X-Force secretly do the dirty work. Hope promises salvation for the mutant race, yet danger may still be lurking. I liked this comic. I liked Second Coming. I highly recommend the 14-part story and the tie-in issues. Read Full Review

Jul 14, 2010Did "Second Coming" work? I'd say most definitely yes. It had some slow spots in the middle, sure, but on the whole it held together strongly. Multi-title crossovers are more often than not a mess, and this is one of the few exceptions. I'd like to see no more crossovers for a while, but if they can all end this well, I'd be willing to turn a blind eye towards the next one. Read Full Review

Jul 15, 2010If you've been following Second Coming, this is certainly worth getting. My main warning is that those who have bought only Second Coming intending just to follow this story and then bail again may find themselves enticed to stay with the books. I don't feel like this book is an ad in and of itself...but while capping off the main event, it does a lot to try to draw the reader into What Comes Next after Second Coming. Though this is a #2 of 2 issues and the end of this event, it wouldn't be a horrible place to jump in to gain some context if you're curious about the state of the X-Books coming next.
