X-Men: Blue #27

Bunn, To, and Beredo are a force to be reckoned with in X-MEN BLUE #27. This issue continues to build the Cry Havok Arc into one of the most successful arcs in the X-MEN BLUE series so far. Polaris and Emma Frost -- two characters who have been neglected in recent years -- are masterfully developed by Bunn while To and Beredo give a needed gravity to the arc with realistic artwork. Despite the story getting a bit dragging, Blue still managed to capture our interest by keeping us at the edge of our seats thanks to the awesome art and a few progress on the story. Hopefully, the plot development improves next issue. Read Full Review

X-Men Blue seems to have gotten better since it ditched the younger versions of the original X-Men. This has become an exciting book that has many twist and turns. Cullen Bunn continues to give fans what the want story wise, and using characters that are often overlooked is a huge bonus for fans. Read Full Review

While delivering much less action than before, Bunn seems to be revving up for a conclusion on the Cry Havok storyline. Its hard to tell where its going to end, but hopefully Bunn and his crew bring the story out of this stall before it ends. Read Full Review

Damn that was good. I loved the part where the polaris team fight wildcard one, like Magneto showing MachIII she isn't a match for him. Without her teammate she would have fall ! I love much more Alex & Polaris face to face. I'm a little less in the original X-men & Venom story, but I liked the possible futur part. I'm very intrigued by how cullen bunn will finish his story. Where damn is magneto have fled ? Cover - In link even if the encounter between Polaris Team & Alex one never turn in her favor. 2/2 Writing - Cullen bunn make a lot of a job. At least I see Bloodstorm using her vampiric power. I love this darker team, I'm not eager to see the Original taking back the title ^^ 3/3 Arts - The art is very light sometime. Shame beca use other time he have a Coipel like feeling (Magneto for the most part). Good work. 2.5/3 Feeling - I want the following issue quickly (And I will) 2/2 more

Bunn is doing a very good job with Magneto in this series, presenting a solid and convincing leader. I didn't like the original squad and just started reading this title after they disappeared, but I'm really enjoying this book now. And of course, Marcus To art is also excellent.

The new team in action looks really good even in their matching outfits. Those outfits seem like something that would be more X-Factor then X-Men, but it is not unheard of among the X-Men so no big deal. Even having two Wolverine's is worked out by making one of them carry a sword. Daken becomes more of a nineties era X-Force fill in minus the pouches. They come in to fight for Magneto while the original five are still trapped in space. They are going up against a team of unlikely alliances that worked for me since they are constantly bickering and threatening each other. It made the odd team of villains seem like they are together only for the cause which makes sense. The cliffhanger with Magneto's choice on how to fight back grabbed my at tention and had me ready to see where this was going more than any other moment in the story. This is a much stranger story than I anticipated so I would recommend the read. more

X-Men Blue is a great series. Especially with this group of X-men at the forefront. I was never that interested in the time-displaced X-men but having Polaris, Hudson, Daken, and Xorn in this book really make it for me. My only ask is that we not return Magneto to the status quo villain role. If Marvel is to be an ongoing story then we need to move forward. Magneto as a hero is far more interesting than a return to the status quo. If anything Havok has earned the right to continue in the traditional Magento role as the mutant who goes too far in defense of his people. I like villainous Havok. The cast is balanced and the stakes are high. What happens in this comic is so huge that It should really be referenced in other books outside of the X-men line. Jump into this arc because we will soon head into extermination and the X titles are stronger now then they have been in a long while. more

When I realised they were sidelining the main team I was disappointed, but to his credit Cullen Bunn has built a good story and made me care about a lot of the fill-in players. Some good character work and nice pacing make this book worth reading.

Magneto takes a tumble and it's the B-squad's turn to go up against the head Mothervine baddies. Things are not looking good for the heroes. This is a respectable story and there's even a little quality theme work as both heroes and villains struggle with the ethics of mind control. The visuals are solid on their own, but I'm exhausted by the Nth new artist to slide onto the artist carousel. This story is not nearly compelling enough to justify the expense, rush, and visual chaos of double-shipping.
