This comic has a hell of an opener with Sentinels landing in New York City, the arrival of Onslaught's new army. It's very well drawn and Mark Waid gives the moment great narrative weight. This felt very epic and like a proper comic book crossover event, even with a whole bunch of silly quipping and bickering between superheroes. Not a lot of space for any character work, but I guess it is the end of the world, so who has time for that anyway. What would be the point? Nobody knew Heroes Reborn wouldn't last past two years. So, sure, the Onslaught Saga can be fun and big but the idea of this being the end of the Marvel Universe as we knew it does make these comics sit a little funny with me.
