X-Force #27 drops a lot on the reader, but it all works. Percy has gotten outstanding at these kinds of plot juggling acts, and this one is better than most. Its also nice to see someone push back on Beast for once. Gill and GURU-eFX do a great job with the art, and seeing what they have in store for the book should be a treat. THE DISPATCHThe opening monologuing just didnt sound like WOLVERINE. Sure, hes just come off a pretty insane excursion that was definitely life-altering, however, the tone seemed more thought-provoking and sophisticated for WOLVERINES taste. Yet, as funky as the opening pages were, the next section got very good REAL fast and I love the intrigue Percy places in X-FORCE from this moment on. For those reading multiple titles, IMMORTAL X-MEN #1 led people to believe that something is afoot with some characters behind the scenes. Maybe Sage is somehow involved in something as well? And Percy decides to quickly add more fuel to that fire while also exposing Beast to the council for the dastardly ideas hes developed since this X-FORCE run began. Read Full Review

X-Force #27 is a good start to a horror story that is intertwined with immoral heroes and hard decisions being made as messing with nature always ends badly. Beast fans who have liked his dance on the edge of good and evil will delight in this issue. Read Full Review

Enjoyed this quite a bit, the conversations and the conflict arising, I'm getting into a real groove with this team and Beast continues to be a fascinating character. Can't wait for 28.

The cold war between Sage and Beast is something that had to happen. Hank is completely insane and needs to be stopped.

This is a pretty fun read, and a speedy one. One thing that makes it fast is that it actually engages in very little plot or character development -- but it does so well at ominous foreshadowing and complex relationships that it's still thoroughly satisfying. It's handled with very good storytelling (in words and art), too. It's a rather small morsel of story, but the way it's prepared and presented makes it delicious.

This was a decent read, but I’m terribly bored with Beast, Quentin, Domino, and Logan. Sage foiling Hank is now what I live for when reading this series. It’s the best thing happening here. Art was nice, but I wish they’d have shaken up this book along with the others.

There's a lot to like in this issue story-wise, primarily the council meeting. Gill's art was actually pretty solid as well. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this issue affects the series going forward.

The biggest problem I'm having with certain titles, such as this... is it's like all our nothing. You either read all, or almost all X-Men titles or you're just lost.
