I really enjoy how this run is surrounded by mystery and we're starting to get some idea as to who's involved with all the fractures. It's also nice to see some of these installments are more focused on individual team members rather than all about the team itself. I can't wait to see what's next! Read Full Review

Finally! An issue addressing Rachel's complex history and psyche. I'm still not sure if I like her and Betsy as a couple, but Geoffrey Thorne making an effort to explore these favorite characters and throwing in a few nostalgic tidbits from their past - the Excalibur lighthouse and Australian outback - gives me some hope for the future of both. I also appreciate an author finally doing something with Forge's magical powers (not sure if I'm doing injustice to the last X-Force authors, since I didn't read the title during the Krakoan era.) La Diabla is becoming a more interesting villain despite her ridiculous costume. Unfortunately regular artist Marcus To is still absent from the book, but Jim Towe is doing a good job filling in.

I liked most of the stuff with Betsy and Rachel, but this is just another case of this series just not coming together as well as it could have, in my opinion. The villain, La Diabla, just wasn't that interesting to me, and it seems like she's already gone, anyways. Also, Tope was a fine fill-in artist overall, but there were certain spots where things looked a little off for me. I was happy to see Colossus at the end, though, considering he's been nowhere to be seen with all of these new titles for From the Ashes.
