Wolverine: Black, White, And Blood #4 isnt the weakest issue of the mini, but its not the strongest either. Its pretty good all in all, with the last story bringing down the curve. The idea behind this series is sound, but its kind of been a case of diminishing returns since the first issue, which was just about perfect. Its presented some fun Wolverine stories in a novel way, though, and this issue succeeds in that as well without too much trouble. Read Full Review

Three solid stories with great artwork especially in the third story. I loved how the first two let you know what time period it was based on the uncanny X-Men issue

Perfectly presented in only black, white and a color so often associated with him, blood red. The first story see’s Wolverine drowning his sorrows and coming into conflict with Mystique, seeking the whereabouts of adoptive daughter, Rogue. Next, seeking his own brand of justice for the loss of innocent life, Wolverine not only battles a group of Reavers, but a swarm of blood thirsty great white sharks! Finally, Wolverine temporarily teams with Sauron to free the inhabitants of the Savage Land from the influence of Garokk! This entire issue was great! I loved the artwork of all three stories. Wolverine battling a swarm of great whites and then moving on to a face off a Tyrannosaurus Rex, it doesn’t get much better. I'm truly sorry to see this miniseries come to an end. Thompson's tale exemplified why I love Wolverine : relatability, especially in loss. And Mystique is always a fun character to read. Plus the return of mohawk Storm, taking Wolverine out for a drink? To cool, but not cool enough for me to skip ahead of Brisson's long winded entry to the grand finale with a Sauron (who I read in his X'92 whiny voice) team-up, I never would have expected , but was happy to see. A desperate Mystique attacks a desperate-er Wolverine; Wolverine chops up a boatload of Reavers; and Wolverine and Sauron have an impromptu Savage Land team-up. Kelly Thompson, Khary Randolph, and Paulo Siqueira go above and beyond the call, delivering better storytelling than these little tidbit-stories deserve. It's a solid entertainment, but definitely not a must-read.
