(Cover Date: April, 1988) Summary: Three fashion models have died at the hands of the Slasher, & Dakota North has been hired to find the murderer. An admirer of MJ's friend, Elyse, hires a man to pretend to be the Slasher, so that he can rescue her to get her attention. Pete & Dakota are at the next fashion expo that MJ & Elyse are modeling at. The actor playing the Slasher shows up & is pursued & caught by both Dakota & Spidey. Dakota then tells Spidey who the real Slasher is just in time for Spidey to return to save MJ. Definitely had the potential of a much better story but felt too rushed. The final twist at the end was unexpected but kind of random as well
