    (Cover Date: March, 1988) Summary: Angry at Pete for ignoring him, Steve Petty (Phreak) comes to the apartment wearing his electrified exo-skeleton to hurt him. While Pete is injured, Phreak kidnaps MJ & takes off. Pete catches up to them as Spidey by an electronic billboard. During their fight, Phreak absorbs too much power & short circuits. The cops show up to take him into custody. In South America, the new Tarantula kills the doctor who created him. His mission is to go to the USA to kill Spidey.

    Unfortunately Conway's interludes that he sets up for future stories are far more interesting than the main conflict
