Sep 18, 2024All around, Venom War: Deadpool #1 was an exhilarating read. Deadpool always brings the entertainment factor, but adding in Silence and Marvel monsters is just the cherry on top. It was really great seeing some fan favorite monsters blend perfectly into Deadpool's take on the Venom War. I am really curious to see where Cullen Bunn takes this run in the Venom War event as Deadpool was not who I expected when first hearing about this event. Read Full Review

Solid book and tie-in. Well drawn, well written (MUCH better than the main Deadpool book). Only slightly feels shoehorned into the Venom War event, but you know we had to have a Deadpool tie-in so it was done about as well as you could hope. I wish this creative team would take over the main book.

Fun and entertaining for what it is, but, like the Wolverine tie-in miniseries for Venom War, this doesn't really feel like it needs to exist, unfortunately. At least it's fairly solid book, though. I do typically enjoy Princess, and it's cool to see Man-Thing in something.
