There's a lot to like about this issue. Even little touches like characters explaining just what the Void is (to people unfamiliar with the character of the Sentry) feel like everything is just sliding along naturally. Dodson is a much more enjoyable artist than Greg Land. I like how he moulded the white space reality inside of Emmas mind and played with the panels in the page to further the effects. I doubt Land would have landed such a creative layout. His storytelling is also quite good in this issue. I like the diamond effect used to depict Emma Frost and the ice effect on Iceman. Dodson, by the way draws beautiful women. Read Full Review

As usual, the latest chaotic installment of Uncanny X-Men certainly isn't without its share of problems, but there are redeemable pieces in the fray. More than anything, this title seems in overwhelming need of a stronger editorial hand to guide it more coherently down its path, because unfortunately I feel lost more than I'd like with this book. But other than that, not much to recommend this time around. I know these kinds of stories are necessary from time to time, but it seems like the X-Men spend more time setting up stories or cleaning up afterwards as opposed to just telling good stories. Read Full Review
