While the focus is clearly on Elixer's amplified powers and the destruction of the Terrigen Mists it shows so much more. It is obvious how the world has changed without its mutant population. Bunn and Piper bring in the ruins of Genosha to keep the atmosphere grim, as Elixer showcases how much his death has changed him. All of it beautifully illustrated by Piper and Ken Lashley. Overall, this comic is worth the read. As someone who had been distant from the X-Men universe, I would continue to find interest in seeing where this arc leads. Read Full Review

So while I'm not really a fan of the annual format, I can't really fault this particular issue as it's basically a regular installment of Uncanny dressed as an annual. Well played, Marvel, well played. Read Full Review

I mean... Domino is just kickass. She needs her own series.

I love where this first story is going. It leads to so many more storylines and a little glimpse of the future, maybe, sorta kinda. You get to see everyone's real true colors in this issue. M's kindess, Magneto's task-oriented mind and Sabretooth's rage. Even the art of Lashley and Woodard is well done. Seriously, this story could mean the comeback of the X-Men. The Domino story is pretty cool. Come on that last part was pretty epic. I hope Bunn sees that this issue worked and hope to see such good writing in his regular run.

Jonathan Crean and Chris Hassan review bytes seem to have the positives generally right though the ratings overly generous. The backup story just reinforces my objection to having Sunspot rejoin the true Avengers after that disturbing assassination plot authorized by his A.I.M.

This is the first decent story from this series in months. I actually liked the Domino story. Are we going to see an X-Force revival? They've been close a couple times, but I'd love to see the original team back together.
