Ultimate End #3

All in all, ULTIMATE END is shaping up to be one of the more confusing "Secret Wars" books. It's still good, but next issue really needs to resolve some of the series' problems. Read Full Review

Ultimate End #3 was a very disappointing issue. After spending two issues of building up different layers in the conflict between the 616- and Ultimate Universes there was very little in the way of intriguing plot development. Instead of using the prison breakout to show us how both universes heroes dealt with the problem at hand Brian Bendis spent this entire issue having two characters having a dick measuring contest. Even though that argument between Tony Stark and Ultimate Nick Fury started off fine it was not enough to carry a story that is lacking someone to get behind. If things don't pick up in the next issue I fear that Ultimate End will be a lackluster end to the Ultimate Universe. Read Full Review

The Banner confrontation is tense, but it's the one remotely interesting moment and hardly warrants the price of admission. I genuinely feel bad saying this again, but your time and money are better spent elsewhere. Read Full Review

The art and colours alone however, while making this book incredibly visually appealing, arent enough to keep this books story afloat. Story progression is minimal at best, and treading backwards at worst as issue 2 showcases the heroes going out to do their thing, only to have them return to their head-scratching ways in this issue. Secret Wars has been a fantastic ride thus far, and with a lot of the tie ins second issues being released and expanding much more on their domains and stories, this book remains incredibly confusing and agonizing, as you beg for the characters to do just about anything besides argue with one another. Overall, this title feels a little too self-important for its own good, and your time is better spent with just about any other Secret Wars tie-in. Read Full Review

Yay, not one whiny Banner, but two! The Punisher stuff is cool, of course that's what happens when he meets himself. Tony is being Tony, still playing fast and loose by his own rules.
