Timeless #1 is as epic as it comes, with a rewarding journey for an alternate version of Luke Cage to thrive and win the day. All the while, we get teases for Marvel's 2024 projects, so by the end of the issue, you'll be salivating in more ways than one. Read Full Review

Overall, the 2023 edition of Timeless is an excellent tale of a grim future where the heroes do not win at the end. The story by the creators is excellent. The art by the creative team is awesome. Altogether, a story that will have fans excited for the next big comics event. Read Full Review

This year's Timeless #1 is ok. It does its job of deliver a teaser wrapped in a story, but it feels like a story we've seen with a new coat of paint. It's formulaic at this point in some ways and even Lanzing and Kelly's usual excellence isn't enough to breathe life into what's becoming a bit of a boring concept. Here's hoping we get something to revitalize the concept next year, because there's something there, but overall, it's a one-shot that's losing its luster. Read Full Review

Timeless #1 (2023) brings the big action for a future fight to save the world from extinction. Lanzing and Kelly set up a scenario that feels world-ending, and Juann Cabal's art is fantastic. Plus, you get plenty of teases about forthcoming storylines. That said, this issue is nothing more than a big fight with very little plot to back it up. Read Full Review

The identities of Moon Knight Eternal and Power Man are interesting reveals, but not particularly surprising, and an inordinate amount of the issue is dedicated to Easter eggs about upcoming Marvel Comics, making for an overpriced issue that's just sort of fine. Read Full Review

It's a nice story, with some good lines and epic art. But two factors make me rate it on the low end of "good comics" territory. First, it's throwing yet another big cosmic timey-wimey threat into the Marvel universe. The Avengers have barely even started tackling the BCTWT launched in the LAST Timeless book. Second, for all its charming specificity to its characters, this boils down to Luke Cage as Silver Surfer vs. Khonshu as Galactus.

This lacked any value story wise compared to the previous years 2 issues which were much better in all aspects. The only value here is the great art from Juan Cabal. Jed Mackay had a proper story in both previous outings. This was a waste of time by Kelly and Lanzing. I have no faith in Marvel 2024 comics based on this nonsense.
