In an abandoned NYC subway tunnel, Lorelei attempts to use Fafnir the dragon in her scheme to make Thor her own but instead becomes a thrall of him herself. Nick Fury helps Thor establish a civilian identity since he can no longer turn into Donald Blake. At a construction site, Thor sees Lorelei dangling from a crane, & as he attempts to rescue her, he is attacked by Fafnir. After they fight, Fafnir flees to the river & escapes when Thor summons storm & lightning with his hammer. Thor hears the call of a Viking warrior in the language from a thousand years ago & plans to seek it out. (Cover date: March, 1984) [Cameo by Clark & Lois?!]
