Feb 04, 2026The threat that the main antagonist presents is only rivaled by the powers of Storm. The fact that Amaterasu gets the best of Storm in this first issue sets up what kind of challenge Ororo is up against. Making the threat feel real even when the hero is a God goes a long way to keep the interest of readers as the series goes on. Read Full Review

Feb 04, 2026Ororo Munroe's heroic journey under Murewa Ayodele continues in Storm: Earth's Mightiest Mutant #1, a new title that carries over the themes, plot points, and characterizations from Storm. Feb 04, 2026Storm: Earth's Mightiest Mutant #1 might be a new #1, but it is not new-reader-friendly. Even those who have followed the Storm series since Murewa Ayodele began it in 2024 will be frustrated by this issue, which features a chopped-up narrative, significant expository dialogue, and a lack of depth. The art is sufficient and shows promise, but is not up to par with the previous ongoing Storm series. Read Full Review

Super Hero Hype - Matt Morrison
Feb 04, 2026Overall, Storm: Earth’s Mightiest Mutant #1 makes every mistake a first issue could. The story is loaded with dense continuity and feels like walking in on the middle of a movie. The artwork is muddled and oddly blocked. Fans of the previous Storm series may enjoy it. Newcomers, unfortunately, will have a hard time understanding it. Read Full Review
