Storm #3 isn't just a gorgeous looking book, but a key example of the bonds the X-Men share. With Ororo and Doom's meeting looming on the horizon, and her life as well, it also serves as the proverbial calm before the storm. Read Full Review

Hot damn this series has been so good and each issue keeps building in tension and drama. The damn is about to burst and all hell breaks loose.

I've been a comic book reader for a long time, but I've never been a huge X-Men fan. Honestly, there are only a few X-Men runs that truly resonated with me. However, this current Storm series has completely captivated me. The writing is exceptional, and the art perfectly complements the story. The first three issues have been an absolute delight to read.

Not a bad issue, but I am a bit worried that this series might continue to go downwards in quality. Werneck's art continues to be gorgeous in each issue. However, Ayodele hasn't really been delivering the way he did in the first issue, at least for me. The constant has been that it feels as though we've almost been jumping from thing to thing without much segue. I was more accepting of it int he first issue because I really enjoyed everything we got there, but the past two issues haven't met that quality for me, as much as I do still enjoy them.

I could have sworn there's a new inker on this book, since the art looks so much smoother in this issue. Apparently that's not the case, so I guess Werneck is getting better. There are some beautiful shots of Storm's face and a nearly perfect intimate scene. However, there are still some of the same problems: too many large panels, splash pages that should have been regular panels and even panels that are completely unnecessary. The result, once again, is an issue where not much is happening, because a lot of page space is wasted. Also, what's the deal with the descriptive sound words? They don't add anything dramatic to the story and look more like stand-in text that the letterer forgot to replace. Lastly, I'm not sure if getting rid o more
