The bones of an interesting Storm story are here, but overall, the series feels muddled and overburdened with subplots, distracting from the character it intended to spotlight. Read Full Review

Storm #5 brings the period piece to a close as Rogue and Storm put Blowback through a trial to get the truth and send him packing. Despite the relatively clean ending, most of the development surrounding Blowback never gets the attention needed to fully explain the character, so the main villain at the heart of the main mystery winds up being a convenient contrivance, leading to an unsatisfying ending. The adventure ends with Storm #5, but it doesnt end on a somber note. Instead, the story rejuvenates and brings back confidence in Storms abilities that she thought she could not control. As this series has been interesting and full of enjoyable moments, the comic book itself gives readers insight into a time frame that happened in Storms life worth noting. While the X-Men are notorious for epic fights, individually they have their own shadows to embrace. Regarding that embrace, dont forget to pick up this action-packed last issue from your local comic book store or online where copies are sold. Read Full Review

I'm not nearly as harsh a critic on this series as most. I thought it was pleasantly fine. I just think it pretty uncool that Marvel is willing to pay writers and artists and spend other publication costs on * flashback * series. Hello, what about a current Storm mini in continuity? Or Gambit? Or Jean Grey? And, if you're going to do a flashback, answer a dangler. Example: How the hell Jean and Psylocke switched powers in the Revolution era.
