Lando is a treasure from month to month. I wish it was an ongoing title as I could see myself buying it indefinitely. Hopefully the sales convince Marvel to make it exactly that. Read Full Review

Lando #3 is another near-perfect issue from Charles Soule and Alex Maleev. It is extremely entertaining and the best Star Wars comic on the shelves right now. It captures classic Star Wars from the droids to the bounty hunters to the team dynamic. It really embodies the essence of Star Wars. If you aren't buying this book, you definitely need to. Lando #3 has a lot of layers hiding underneath it's slick surface. While the issue's widescreen action beat is definitely something that can get readers in the door, Lando #3 also ratchets up the tension of the chase and delivers a grounded, human take one of Star Wars' most intriguing characters. Lando #3 is the kind of issue that makes you wish that this series was an ongoing instead of just a miniseries. Charles Soule, Alex Maleev, and Paul Mounts have tapped into a character set and tone that could sustain multiple arcs, but for now, we have three solid issues starring a band of scoundrels and one hell of a long con. Lando continues to be an astounding mini-series, with the look into this bold character's past being sensational. This is all aided by a tantalising side plot, as the Emperor's bounty hunter draws closer to his prey. This series is once again showing that the direction of the now canonical comic series is heading in the right direction. There is not much here which is trying to redefine the Star Wars universe, or to send it off on some tangent, but rather the focus is on telling engaging and fun stories within this continuity. This issue stumbles a little bit as it loses some momentum with the battle sequence, but still keeps the series moving along well. After all, this is not meant to be a defining Star Wars experience, rather a complementary one, and it succeeds at being that. It helps, not hinders, the main story telling of the movies and offers insights into bypassed characters along the way. Read Full Review
