Oct 03, 2019I've been enjoying this series every arc since it started, even more since Spurrier took over the series, and I'm going to be sad to see it end. It's funny because initially I thought this was a good place for the series to wrap up, but the more I think about it the more I remember different characters and plots that I'm sad we won't get more of. I hope we get to see the character and get stories with her for years to come, maybe set in other time periods. No matter what, I'm very excited to see where this arc goes. Read Full Review

Oct 04, 2019It's hard not to judge this issue solely on the Vader/Aphra confrontation. However, it something that's been built up since day one. Not only was it worth the wait but the ending served as the ultimate fustercluck for the beloved doctor. Read Full Review

Oct 08, 2019With a new arc underway, my biggest hope right now is that we get consistent artwork for the run of it. Caspar Wijngaard has done some good work before on the franchise and I like what he brings to the page here in giving us the Executor and some new worlds to delve into a bit. He handles Aphra and Vader well and there's plenty to like with background/ship design so that everything feels authentic enough. Spurrier's story gives me hope for some fun ahead as Aphra finds herself in another precarious position that has her closer to Vader than ever. Watching her navigating that tightrope makes it worthwhile for just that alone. Read Full Review

Oct 15, 2019It's nice to see Aphra back working with the bad guys for a change. There is an added in bonus in the possibility that Aphra might be instrumental in the Empire finding Echo Base on Hoth. The comics in general are gearing up to start telling tales that take place after The Empire Strikes back. It should be interesting to see how Aphra pulls strings in the backdrop of those events.
