Doctor Aphra still isn't quite the book I was hoping for based on her run in the previous Darth Vader series but it's certainly still etching out a place of its own. It's a lighter book with Aphra's way of dealing with things but it's also far more violent than the other books in many ways " and not always leaning into comical violence. Read Full Review

Now that Kho Phon Farruss identity is know, it is time to return to the very university where they, Sana, and Aphra first met. A showdown on familiar grounds is immanent, but first readers might get a glimpse into the past that originally brought the trio together. Read Full Review

The story becomes silly and the art and colors are mixed, creating a disappointing issue. The previous issues have been stunners, so this was a huge letdown. Given the previous history of this series, I'm still on board, but this had several huge steps in the wrong direction. Read Full Review

Aphra continues to strike that balance between being likable and being Machiavellian in nature, it is a difficult balancing act but this team pulls it off. I don't get what is happening when the rebel commander drops the blaster, did someone shoot it out of her hand?

Another worthy Star Wars adventure. I like the pairing of Aphra and Hera. Hera serves as the straight man (woman) of the group and its nice to see some of her gaps being filled in following Rebels. This is still not my favorite series, but I continue to enjoy it time and time again.
