Star Wars: Darth Vader #14 is another enjoyable issue by Pak & Ienco, and worth the price of admission. Most Star Wars fans will be satisfied with the overall story and artwork. If you are currently reading this series or reading the tie-in issues of the "War of the Bounty Hunters" crossover, this is a must-have. Read Full Review

The Fandom Post - Chris Beveridge

Though a little convoluted at times, and moving back from Vader's end appearances in two other books the week prior, the latest installment of the series is pretty good. Pak works the characters well and shows some of the shadowy political movements behind the scenes that show how far some will go for power, and how quickly others will fall. It's not all instant deaths and the like as the Emperor certainly enjoys his playthings and making them dance about. The connection to the auction brings things full circle and we see just how badly Moore is being humiliated there, and the wedge being driven into the Hutts, that I'm definitely curious to see more of the fallout here. But Why Tho? - Adrian Ruiz

Overall while Star Wars: Darth Vader #14may be a bit slow as it finds its place in the War of the Bounty Hunters event, I would be lying if I said it did not get me hyped for the next issue. Multiple issues have been leading up to the Dark Lord's arrival at the auction, and now that it is here, I am on the edge of my seat to see how it all plays out. Read Full Review

    Bleeding Cool - Hannibal Tabu

The main complaint one could make is that Vader is a supporting character in his own title. Even cowed, determined to fulfill his eventual note, "I must obey my master," he needs more agency and urgency to make his bluster and bravado work. Nothing bad here, and this came closer to the power and the glory, but only in passing. Read Full Review

I thought the tie-ins to the event had a very rough start the last couple of weeks but the perspective shift helped sell me on this angle more. I'm still going back and forth on my opinon on the series and its involvement in the crossover but if each issue wins me over a bit more, I might be in favor by the end. It seems like Sly Moore won't continue to have a large role in the next few issues and I hope that the series can find a way to keep its own plotlines from getting lost in the ever-complicating tangle of the crossover. I'm still interested enough to see where this goes, and hopefully my opinion continues moving uphill. Read Full Review

Given the strength of previous issues and the potential of the "War of the Bounty Hunters" event, on the other hand, this is likely only a chance instance of any narrative momentum stalling and will likely prove to be an important part of the overall story being told. Read Full Review

I would recommend this one if you are still following the series at this point, but there are more exciting things going on in the War of the Bounty Hunters story these days. Read Full Review
