The nail-biting conclusion to the limited series, Spirits of Vengeance #5 does a brilliant job of wrapping up the story while leaving just enough loose ends and questions that you know this won't be the last time Daimon Hellstrom, Santana, Blade, and Ghost Rider will have to try to save the universe from the forces of Heaven and Hell. In the fifth and final issue, Spirits of Vengeance attains sheer victory and is likely among the short list of Marvels better series of the past year. Or two. Maybe three Read Full Review

Spirits of Vengeance #5 is a solid ending to a troubled series. It would probably still read far better as a collected graphic novel, but I've come to the end of the series feeling that it's more good than bad. This comic gets a recommendation, and you should definitely feel free to check it out. If you've not been following it so far, then check out the collected edition when it comes out. Spirits of Vengeance closes with a fiery finale with a wonderful showcase of Marvel's horror heroes. VIctor Gischler handles the characters with precision and sets the stage for more. David Baldeon and Andres Mossa deliver some of their best work yet. War at the Gates of Hell isn't exactly war but rather the prelude to war. Let's hope Marvel has the good sense to give readers more of these great characters. Read Full Review

I liked the end. Maybe a little easy, but well played. I even look forward to see again Razan. Like always since the start of this story, the Ghost Rider rule. I liked all the implication for the human. And I will miss this team. If you find the tpb jump on it, this is a great story. Cover - 1.5/2. Nice and a little related to what I read. Writing - A great use of each characters, and a end very interesting. 3/3 Arts - I loved the art (Even if I still don't like Necrodamus & Razan Look) 2.5/3 Feeling - I didn't regret to take each issue. I will miss them. 2/2

To be kind, the mini series started out with bright potential and ended up completely average-at-best, with more focus on The Covenant than all the star characters, save maybe, Daimon and Necrodamus who got a little more personality spotlight.

The Spirits, particularly Ghost Rider, save the day. It's a straightforward fight + noble sacrifice. Lots of space (too much) is reserved for scrupulous explanations of what happened and attaboys for the heroes, but they do manage to earn them. The art is still gloriously over-the-top, but the fire effects are a step too far. They conceal how exaggerated the Ghost Rider design has become and confuse the action at a few key points.
