Spider-Woman #18 utilizes Devil's Reign to build an even better Spider-Woman story instead of the other way around, and the wait until next issue is going to be so... damn... long. Read Full Review

Sure were in a crossover tie-in issue, but Karla, Pere, and Frank keep on with the level of high quality that weve become accustomed to. Theres a bit of a surprise in this issue, and if youre like me, who dont read the solicits, then its a pretty good shock. Its been a pretty long while since Jess has had to deal with this thorn, so I cant wait to see where we go from here. Read Full Review

Spider-Woman #18 is a great action-heavy issue, with lots of furious conflict and Jessica's race against time to keep her friend alive. With the surprise villain that appears at the end, it looks like things are going to get even more complex for Spider-Woman, and I look forward to seeing how she handles this new threat. This is a very excellent issue, not only tying it in to Devil's Reign, but also tying it in to Secret Invasion by introducing Skrull Queen Veranke as a villian (since she impersonated her during SI)! I can't wait for next issue!

Very enjoyable issue! I am glad I was surprised by Karla Pacheco angle in this tie-in. Pere Perez is great as always and especially those 2 page spreads and that last page was a gem of art from inking to D'Armata's excellent colors.

The end of the previous issue and a link to Devil's Reign launch this series into a scary new arc with tons of promise. The issue at hand is no slouch, either; it has a great pace, gorgeous art, and lots of well-conveyed Jess fury. Perhaps most impressively, it leaves breadcrumbs through almost the whole issue pointing to the identity of Jess's new antagonist. But the story's paced so well that the final reveal should be satisfying no matter when you realize what's coming.

This was good and all, but I can't be the only one who thinks Fisk was taken down a peg here in terms of characterization.

I'm OK if we drop the brother plotline and just keep going in this direction.
