Sep 03, 2014The story seems to be getting better, even though the art appears to be getting worse. Regardless, Spider-Man 2099 is still one of Marvels more interesting comics. Its Peter David and Miguel OHara, so that shouldnt come as a surprise. Read Full Review

Infinite Comix - Lewis Reynolds
Sep 04, 2014Sliney's slight visual reimagining of a classic Spider-Man villain in the closing pages is another enjoyable surprise, drawing upon a more atavistic, organic look for the villain in comparison to prior physical portrayals in order to create a genuinely frightening visage. With a good handle on pace, David closes out the issue on a cliffhanger, following up an intriguing opening sequence by delivering a level of action previously unseen whilst still maintaining his penchant for humour and strong dialogue. Sep 08, 2014I feel the problem with this issue may stem from Peter David's obligation to tie Spider-Man 2099 into the upcoming Spider-Verse event, as such he isn't free to take the story in the direction he wants and instead is forced to provide this filler for the time being. That doesn't mean it can't be entertaining filler though. I'm hoping the next will provide some exciting action that will let the art team shine and hopefully add to this issue, which at the moment doesn't offer much in super heroics or plot development. Issue 1 and 2 offered some clever and intriguing elements to Spider-Man 2099′s modern day story, it's time to build on these before this series fades away after Spider-Verse gets wrapped up. Sep 06, 2014Spider-Man 2099 #3 is not quite as good as its previous issues and very strong debut. If you're a classic Spider-Man fan, you will still find enjoyment her, but for others, you might want to skip this one. Read Full Review
