Spider-Man 2099 will always hold a special place in my heart based solely on nostalgia. However the newest volume and latest issue to this series has failed to truly capture my attention and tying it to Civil War II did nothing to help with that.  I just have no idea what the overarching story is for this title. It feels like every time I pick up an issue the overall goal and purpose for Miguel is fleeting which leads to me feeling like I'm reading a random story of the month that won't get much resolution.  The art has been good and I enjoy seeing the cameos from the long forgotten 2099 cast but it's not enough to hold my attention going forward and the Civil War tie-in is wholly unnecessary.  Read Full Review

The civil war II tie-in is forced, but does not slow the issue badly. The cameos of Ravage and Gallows (Punisher) made my day.
