I enjoy Spider-Man 2099 the most when he's handling the issues and villains of the future and doesn't linger in the present day Marvel U. I understand the long term goal of the character and series is to ultimately reverse the events that lead to Nueva York being so horrible in the future which all has to be done in the present to have an effect.
