Newsarama - Joey Edsall
Jan 12, 2017Perhaps the most impressive thing about Spider-Man #12 is the way that it knows exactly what its readers want to see, teases it out, and then doesn't deliver it in this particular issue while simultaneously leaving readers completely satisfied. Read Full Review

Jan 11, 2017Yes, I know I just said that about the first issue of a crossover. But trust me when I say that if you're any type of Spiderfan, then Spider-Man #12 needs to be in your hands this week. Read Full Review

Black Nerd Problems - Omar Holmon
Jan 11, 2017I was wondering how Spider-Gwen was going to fit into things and the fact that the dimension-hopping angle is the key element in here is a surprise I didn't see coming. I'm wondering if Miles is going to remember who Spider-Gwen is from their previous crossover about a year or two go or if this is to be their very first encounter. Either way, we'll be finding out how things escalated next issue. Read Full Review

Doom Rocket - Molly Jane Kremer
Jan 11, 2017Spider-Man #12 is a cute book, at times irritatingly so (thanks to some cloying dialogue and narration), but it summarizes Miles' post-Civil War II status quo well. Read Full Review

Multiversity Comics - Tyler J. Brown
Jan 16, 2017Although Bendis's writing isn't for everyone, he shines on his solo books. Reteaming with Pichelli brought back an emotional brightness to the art and she hasn't missed a beat. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez
Jan 14, 2017Spider-Man #12 is a victim of the choice in its story structure by its writer severely hurting any momentum created by the hype leading up to a crossover. Brian Bendis does very little to create further excitement of this crossover between Spider-Man and Spider-Gwen passed the promoted hook of Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy's kiss. The only saving grace is the fantastic artwork by Sara Pichelli, who continues to be one of Marvel's biggest stars. Hopefully the next chapter in this crossover taking place in the pages of Spider-Gwen, a series I'm a huge fan of, is able to create interest in the crossover. Read Full Review

The Beat - Alexander Jones
Jan 11, 2017This volume of Amazing Spider-Man seems so unfocused and adding Spider-Gwen to the mix makes this comic meander towards nothing-ness in a lacking, uninspired manner. Read Full Review
