Look, Rowell, I guess we dont need Jen talking to the audience like back in the Byrne days, but her fans have been through a lot lately with her time in the Avengers books, so pretty please lets not hose the sweet thing she has with Jack by interjecting this smarmy Scoundrel to a degree that ruins their relationship. While Im making demands, Id love a bunch of courtroom drama too. Please and thank you. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

Rowells run continues to work through many of the issues that Jens been dealing with in one fashion or another for decades. Its been a lot of fun in a way thats come to define Jens presence ever since Byrne first started hanging out with her in the mid-1980s. The clever work around the margins of the Marvel Universe continues to be a sparkling gem in its own distinct corner of the comics rack. Judging from developments coming to the title in the next couple of months, Jens going to have her hands full through the summer...and Rowells going to be there for every turn.  Read Full Review

Although She-Hulk #13 may technically feature some villains, it showcases the series' strengths outside of the superhero genre's stock and trade by emphasizing its romance and work-drama angles. Read Full Review

When this comic focuses on things I like, it's delightful and charming. And this issue has a lot of things I like, and a lot of great character moments and dialogue. Read Full Review

She-Hulk #13 switches gears (again) and dives head first into a will they/ won't they romance comic that works surprisingly well. The writing execution hits all the right notes for a tension-filled romance, and the art is excellent. Read Full Review

It's four gorgeously-illustrated conversations, and at least two of them are vitally important for the love triangle plot. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I bust out an adjective like "gorgeous" to talk about this art. It's realistic and detailed and incredibly expressive. (I think this issue's title page credits were mistakenly re-used from #12; this doesn't look like a collaboration.) I appreciate that the creators are emphasizing that Jack's re-powering has made it impossible for him and Jen to get intimate. That balances nicely with the gentleman thief's bold declaration of interest. The Patsy and Mallory conversations are a little less conclusive, but they're still totally believable and they round out Jen's state of m more

Not a bad issue for this series once again. Although I've liked the slower pace this series has taken, I think this current story is moving just a little too slow for my liking. However, this was still enjoyable. We got a little bit of development on the Scoundrel, plus we got a nice interaction between Jen and Mallory. Her interaction with Jack also wasn't bad, but the ending just fell a little flat for me. Hopefully things pick up a bit with Issue 14.
