We The Nerdy - Joel Raivid

With Kot doing a great job on the writing, it is only fair this book deserves a great art team and Michael Walsh is absolutely perfect for this book. His art is pure fun and really suits the tone of the book and together with great colouring by Matthew Wilson categorically makes this creative team one of the most in-tune and exciting 3-some working in the industry at the moment. With issue #6 of his lighthearted/serious/funny/dramatic Secret Avengers, Kot seems to be getting even more comfortable with his unique and refreshing brand of humor. The results is one of the best issues of this series yet. Read Full Review

The plot itself is about how each member of the Secret Avengers realizes there is a larger plot going on, and therefore a mastermind. Any clues as to who is behind the recent attacks (and space monster rape) are surely steeped in layers of metaphor and more than a few easter eggs. Michael Walshs art keeps things fun, but the stresses of a monthly schedule are present in someobvious ways, mostly in the first half of the book. His dedication to keep things visually consistent for so long is admirable, but it wouldnt hurt to take an issue off between arcs to catch up. Read Full Review

    Newsarama - David Pepose

There's something to be said for loyalty - that when it's earned, it's hard to shake. Of course, there are a lot of bad comics out there that also have survived based on this presumption. But in the case of Ales Kot and Secret Avengers, the past five issues have been great - this sixth issue has merely been good. I'm not sure where this series is going, and oftentimes I think that's a good thing. But here, the twist is so out of left field that it's unclear what kind of book you're going to get into next month. For me, I think Kot has earned enough goodwill to take the plunge - but for those who have been skeptical, this strong issue might not be strong enough to challenge their convictions.
