Secret Avengers #3

This is my favorite Avengers title. Because of the nature of the team and the missions they go on, there is a nice and separate feel from the rest of the Marvel Universe. That means You can easily enjoy this series without having to worry about what's happening in other titles. Ales Kot gives the series a light-hearted and sometimes humorous tone but when it comes time for the action, he puts Michael Walsh to work. Walsh's scenes are priceless, regardless if the characters are standing around or in the middle of a gunfight. This is a book I look forward to reading every month. I can't get enough. The third issue continues the episodic story of the series: these Secret Avengers have essentially taken the role of Norman Osborn's late, great Thunderbolts. The team is split up: Spider Woman, Black Widow, and Coulson intercept a weapons deal, while Hawkeye and Nick Fury, Jr. are sent to kill a monster. And while we don't see a lot of that second story in favor of a cliffhanger ending, it's still an entertaining ride. In an ideal future, especially since Marvel has teased a reboot at the big retailers convention last weekend, every book feels this way. But until then, I suppose, we can enjoy Secret Avengers and call it a night. Read Full Review

Ales Kot and Michael Walsh's Secret Avengers is fun. There's no other way to put it. The creators of this book seem to be dead-set on making the most crazy/smile-inducing comic on the stands, and their efforts aren't futile. Read Full Review

Not my favorite issue of the series but it is funny and action packed! Endimg sets up big Hawkeye and Fury issue coming next month.
