OUT OF THE ASHES OF ABSOLUTE CARNAGE!
ALL-NEW ONGOING SERIES!
Patricia Robertson, Andi Benton, Donna Diego... it's all been leading to this as one of the original - and possibly strongest - offspring of the Venom symbiote at last stars in her own, self-titled ongoing series set in the Marvel Universe! But after the events of ABSOLUTE CARNAGE, what remains of the Scream symbiote as it was before? Does it even have a host?  What are their intentions? And what will a pair of web-slinging wallcrawlers have to say about it's presence in New York?

This is a strong first issue that has a dark tone and an unflinching horror underbelly. From the art to the story, this book somehow feels like a blast from the past and it's mature in its approach. This is a dark and mature take on a hero that blurs the line between horror and heroics.  Read Full Review

If symbiotes, an angsty protagonist, and Lovecraftian fish people arent enough to get your attention, the awesome and perfectly paired writing and art definitely should. Read Full Review

I hope the semi-obscurity of the title character doesn't scare anyone away, because right out the gate, this book is proving it has merits to give both Andi Benton and Scream every right to be leading character(s) in this new title. Even if you aren't a Venom/symbiote fan, give this a try. It deserves a read! Don't know who the hell Scream is? Get to know her here! Read Full Review

A book like Scream: Curse of Carnage requires a darker, horror-inspired tone, which I think Mooneyham really nails, accented by Rain Beredo's brooding colors that pop when Andi transforms into Scream mode. If there's any reason to check out this comic, I'd recommend it for the art alone. Read Full Review

A promising start, if nothing outstanding, to a new series. Time will tell whether it’ll be good or simply a cash in on Venoms success, in the meantime good art and colors make it worth picking up. I have high hopes though. Read Full Review

    Comic Crusaders - Lucas Fashina

Overall there were some good elements in here that I eventually wanted to see, but not t right now. A lot of the stuff felt kinda crammed in, which resulted in a very difficult to detect narrative story structure, but I will allow it due to the fact that I can see what it is trying to set up. All that to say that this is a must pick-up. If you are a collector or speculator, you almost have to pick this up due to the impending events hinted at in this issue. Read Full Review

Wow,this was surprisingly good. I loved Andi through the Agent Venom era but absolutely hated all that Juju Magic crap they turned her into. Now she makes sense again and with her lack of parents and no real direction it made sense what factors motivated this character and symbiote to belong together. It also was a good mix with the emo sadness and creepy inner voices. I liked the last page it was actually touching and intriguing. Although, I re read the mosh pit scene over and over. It made no sense at all and was so strange. It seemed like the writer villainized punk culture, despite that being the aesthetic for the main character, it was bizarre. I think the writer does more good than bad in this issue however and seems to have an intere more

I feel like this could become something good, but it's not quite there yet. Here's hoping issue two improves things.

I'm sold on the creators' sincerity, but I'm unsure of how much substance there is beneath the attractive style.

Well, some of the horror stuff was cool, but I'm not super interested in the character, she doesn't seem that special or interesting to me.
