May 05, 2016I could seriously spend days unpacking Scarlet Witch #6. It is rife with emotion, a journey into the image of what it is like to love in the darkness of pain. The writing and art are nearly impeccable and this issue is one that I will forever keep in my collection. The story is grounded in a realistic though sorrowful examination of grief and could be vital in helping people explore one of the most confusing and painful experiences that humans can. Redemption is no easy task, and it means going to great lengths to make sure others can live a life without the same regrets she still has. Dead Wife plot, uninterrupted by anything of interest. Sauvage gets 2 stars for having a style I enjoy, even when nothing that happens here is particularly memorable. 1 star to Robinson for at least creating a story which is easy to follow-- even if the subject matter is hopelessly cliche and predictable.
