Runaways #3

After this issue, I still have questions, but I have no doubt theyll be answered. As we are building to the major points of the main series and its tie-ins, Runaways #3 points to an underlying unease about Doom and his rule over the Secret Wars world. I only hope that Runaways will be a major key in pointing to why we shouldnt trust Doom, but also why we should have faith in a ragtag group of youngsters willing to bounce between domains to save themselves and the ones they love. Runaways is a fascinating story that features an equally intriguing cast and delivers on multiple levels. With the help of an excellent creative team, Stevenson is rebuilding these characters from the ground up without betraying either their history or their fan bases by pitting them against each other in worlds they would otherwise have never encountered. There are still questions to be answered, but I am sure Stevenson will take care of that soon enough. This issue definitely hints to the down side of having Victor Von Doom be God of Battleworld. Hopefully we’ll see more of the Runaways do their domain-hopping until they find some answers and have some revelations. Until then, keep on reading! Read Full Review

RUNAWAYS #3 is a competent issue that struggles mainly because Battleworld is starting to get old. When you look past "Secret Wars", though, it's a fun enough issue. Read Full Review

Finally some substance! It's nice to see Delphyne doing some consoling. Last issue was pretty deep stuff but Stevenson was such in a hurry to like resolve any on the problems. It's nice to see some form of emotions from the characters. I like this book and I'm hoping for the best but Stevenson either needs to slow down or just get to the fight already. BTW the art of green was on point this issue. So kudos.
