Hepburns art is perfectly suited for drawing both the manic moments and the quieter (that’s quiet-ER moments, not quiet) and is an excellent fit. REVENGE OF THE COSMIC GHOST RIDER #3 manages to expertly balance story and action. The scenes flow seamlessly between flashbacks and current goings-on thanks to both Dennis Hallums writing and Scott Hepburns art. Where this issue shines is in its back-and-forth banter between Frank and his foe as each of them wax poetic about their brutal tendencies. The conversations would be long-winded if not for the way the story constantly breaks up the fights with flashbacks and more introspective moments, but with those elements combined, the result is a hard-hitting slugfest. I have had a blast reading this series, including Revenge of the Cosmic Ghost Rider #3. This issue has the perfect combination of heavy profound ideas mixed with good ol violent fun. It's an issue-long dustup between CGR and the Cosmic King, with city-levelling collateral damage. Plus a flashback to Frank's OG deal with Mephisto. It's a stupid fight and a stupid antagonist, but GOOD LORD do the creators sell it. They transmogrify the stupid into the fun kind of stupid, and this issue does a stellar job of recapturing the "frantic heavy-metal guitar solo" tone that CGR had under his original creators.

Its pretty fun. Cant really complain too much. It has some fun ideas it looks good and its well written just nothing too crazy.
