    Infinite Comix - Lewis Reynolds

    Sep 18, 2014

The plotting is, as ever, simple, but it carries an earnestness that proves refreshing. The issue is bookended by a much more mundane story of the three Alexander's moving house, with the family continuing to serve as the beating heart of Nova. Those aspects of the story that take place back on Earth rarely feel out of the place with the title's pulpier elements, and help to ground Sam's more outlandish adventures by juxtaposing them with the ironically unheroic day-to-day tribulations of being a teenager in school. It may not be spectacular, but consistently entertains as a light and enjoyable romp that warrants the admission price simply for the art. Read Full Review

    Razorfine - Alan Rapp

    Sep 22, 2014

Although Nova #21 doesn't reunite Sam with his father, it does confirm for Sam that the former Nova is still alive and (like many other of the former gladiators) searching for a way home. It will be interesting to see how long the comic keeps his father lost in space and just what happens to Sam's space-fairing extra-curricular activities once he does return to Earth. Worth a look.
