Weekly Comic Book Review - Danny Wall
Nov 22, 2015It feels in some ways like an Avengers team that's been around for a long time, with comaraderie and workaday business among our characters and striking a familiar tone. Since I'm not so familiar with the characters, and indeed, we are all not familiar with this iteration of the team, I'm wondering if we're meant to be missing out on something. It also feels werid that we can't look at villains and threats on Earth, when it's still only the third issue of the series, and we're already pursuing personal stakes off on other worlds. Nov 22, 2015This was an incredibly fun issue to read, despite my continued aversion to the art, and Ewing's writing pays off so much more when given the chanceto be dedicated to a few characters at a time. Billy and Teddy's excellent adventure in space will continue in New Avengers #4, and I can't wait to see what Teddy does as the new Space King Arthur. (It's a tough job, but hey, someone has to wield the magical space sword.) Read Full Review

Nov 19, 2015NEW AVENGERS is a book that, by this writer's estimation, isn't worth reading if not for the pretty artwork of Gerardo Sandoval. Al Ewing certainly has the chops to write a good book, but they're not on display here sadly. Read Full Review
