Miles Morales: Spider-Man was for a solid few issues, one of Marvels most consistent, strongest titles. Lately, however, replacement artists and other chapters have lowered their quality dramatically. Great stuff. Still love this book much more than amazing spider-man, since it keeps that grounded tone that makes not just Peter Parker Spider-Man fun, but any Spider character really. This is all about just Miles and his uncle working their way to the hospital to see the birth of Miles's sister, and each situation they run into is fun stuff. The art is also good, I would highly recommend this series.

In truth this is more of an 8.7 for me because of how much I loved the back and forth banter between Miles and his Uncle and just how much of a great team-up they make. Just wished this book had a higher page count so we could of had more of it. Still Ahmed & Garron continue to kill it on this book and I always look forward to seeing more artists get their go at drawing Miles. And of course that final page struck me right in the heart. Indeed I "DUG IT"!

Prelude: The recent issues of Miles Morales: Spider-Man have been quite good so let's see if Ahmed can continue this trend. The Good: I do like the waves of assassins idea shown in this issue. Garron's art was better this issue. I do like the cliffhanger. The Bad: Not much in the way of progression. Like last issue, it's mostly a lot of fights with not much happening. Conclusion: While the idea behind this issue and the cliffhanger was good, it doesn't move the story forward by much.

This was a solid, fun issue, and not much more. I'm not very invested in Ultimatum as a villain because he has such a stigma attached to him through Spider-Men 2, but it would be cool to see more Ultimate Universe Spidey villains show up, like the promised Green Goblin on next issue's cover. I don't really have any thoughts on Miles's baby sister.
