Iron Fist continues to feel like a wonderful Kung-Fu movie that just keeps adding more and more layers to it. With superb writing from Brisson who knows how to take the series seriously but also knows when to keep the mood light, to some wonderful action panels from Mike Perkins,Iron Fist continues to be a fun read and great all around comic book. This was an okay issue. Somethings just happen because they needed to happen making everything feel a little too convenient for my liking. The big epic fight I expected turned out to be more of a side note. I suspected Constrictor to be a lame character but seriously he just laid down and died with no fight at all. While this issue does have some fun fight sequences and builds more on the buddy cop idea between Creed and Danny, it is purely a bridge issue to reach the big end-goal of the fight for K'un-Lun. Iron Fist suffers from a lack of a true rogues gallery and a series of similar storylines. The addition of Sabretooth saves this issue from being a complete waste. Hopefully Brisson and Co. will bring more to the table in future editions. Read Full Review

This was really fun. I enjoyed this book a lot. It had good action and the story moves forward with Cho-Sin, who has become quite the villain. Iron fist remains a top book with a great story and great art to go along with it.

Choshin bends the story toward K'un-Lun for real and some nick-of-time character development deals Sabretooth in for further adventures. The character stuff is done pretty well; Ed Brisson's script is a cut above average. But Mike Perkins's "realism uber alles" art continues to rub me the wrong way. To my mind, sacrificing distinctiveness for realism is a very bad trade. I'd much rather have flashy, anatomically-improbable fights if they made it clear the stars were Iron Fist and Sabretooth rather than "wiry dude in an Iron Fist costume" and "slightly beefy hairy dude with long fingernails."
