This issue is perfection! I am enjoying this series more and more with each installment. The story, writing, and artwork all came together in one phenomenal issue that I read at break neck speed and was so disappointed when over. In a lot of ways, The Invincible Iron Man #11 is all about Iron Man getting his mojo back. He's lost his fortune and most of his property, but in this issue, we see he's on the right track in gaining an edge on his adversaries. Tony safeguarding the Cuckoos photobook with Dr Strange despite Emma not wanting to be reminded at this point is cute. I’m loving the Tony and Emma interactions The Avengers cameos with Tony testing out mysterium against their powers was good (especially showing that Tony and Peter ARE friends). I really like Duggan’s characterisation showing how competent, careful and smart Tony is. And last but not least, Iron Man vs Apes!!

I thought this was a fun heist mission for Tony while on his "honeymoon" with Emma. Vito is a nice rotating artist once again and this is a good issue for him to be on, since it's relatively low-stakes. That said, though, I did like that Tony kept the book for Emma and I hope that's something re-visited later in the run. Plus, I liked the interactions with Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man, especially, in the final few pages of this issue.

The plot continues to thrum like a well-tuned engine. The author enhances the story with a few nicely-tuned phrases, and the guest art is pretty gorgeous. This title has its ups and downs (in my opinion, at least), but at its best, it's thoroughly engrossing.

To cap off their sham nuptials, Tony and Emma embark on a sham honeymoon as a farce to hide the next phase of their plans to take down Orchis. Compared to Astonishing Iceman, Gerry Duggan’s run on this series shows how you can land one-liners while building a narrative and advancing a plot beyond individual issues. I’ve loved how Duggan has written Tony and Emma’s “will-they” or “won’t-they” chemistry because it all feels completely natural now that we know their true intentions. I also appreciate that Duggan hasn’t tried to make Tony into some stalwart, mutant defender, which wouldn’t come across as a role he’d assume. Instead, Duggan’s kept Tony’s intentions squarely on his own personal vendetta against Orchis/F eilong, making the payoff of Tony seemingly getting the upper hand again by the end of the issue all the more satisfying. more

It's fun, but the magic from the first issues of this new run is gone. Also, keeping track of this "Fall of X" event is a pain in the neck and if I read "Invincible Iron Man" I could be just looking for Tony Stark, not the mutants.

This Iron Man issue delivers a solid dose of action, featuring some well-executed fight scenes that fans of the armored Avenger will likely enjoy. The battles are dynamic and showcase Iron Man’s impressive array of tech and combat prowess. However, beyond the action, there isn’t much in terms of story or character development. If you’re looking for deeper plotlines or emotional stakes, this issue might feel a bit lacking. But if it’s some classic Iron Man brawling you’re after, it definitely delivers on that front.
